Raider Band Achievements

Hornet Marching Festival - The Raider Band began the 2008 marching season on Sept 27th with  2nd place at East Central HS during the Hornet Marching Festival, without performing the last chapter on their "Forgotten People" show.

USSBA Laredo Contest- The Raider traveled to Laredo on October 4th where they won an award for Best Effect and 3rd place.

Harlandale Marching Contest - The Raider Band started a "double-header" day on October 11th with a 1st place finish at Harlandale HS and an award for Best Drumline before heading north for a second competition later that evening.   Scores

USSBA Kyle, TX - The Raider Band finished the day with ANOTHER 1st Place finish along with awards for Best Effect and Best Visuals  at this Central Texas Regional Marching Contest to end an exciting "double-header" day!  Scores

UIL Region Marching Contest - The Raider Band received unanimous Division 1 ratings from all judges at the Region 11 contest at Gus Stadium on October 18th to qualify  for the Area G contest hosted in San Antonio this year.

UIL Area G Marching Contest - The Raider Band performed in the morning at this UIL competition of 37 South Texas Bands in the Alamodome on October 25th.   Although the Raider Band wasn't selected for the late-evening Finals Round, "The Forgotten People" show which contained many challenging elements was a definite crowd pleaser!  A Great Marching Season Raider Band!

Region Band Placements  -  19 placed in the Region Bands and 5 advanced to AREA competition!

Way to Go Raider Band!
