Raider Band Achievements

Hornets Marching Festival  - The Raider Band began their season with a solid performance at East Central High School on September 24th, even though they didn't perform the entire show.  Taft, Clark, and O'Connor finished first, second, and third to make a Northside sweep!

Harlandale Marching Contest - At this first contest as part of a double-header day on October 1st, the Raider Band received third place, finishing behind  Warren and CC Winn, as they debuted an additional part of their "All Wound Up" UIL show.

Alamo City Marching Contest - From Harlandale, the Raider Band traveled "next door" to South San Antonio HS on October 1st for this inaugural contest where they added a second place finish to their 2011 marching contest achievements.

Northside Marching Festival  - A short notice opening at this Oct 8th contest allowed the Raider Band to perform at 9:10 am, before heading to Kyle, TX for the USSBA DeMouluin Challenge for the rest of the day.

USSBA Kyle, TX - During a rainy Prelim round, the Raider Band was selected to compete in the finals round that evening, after two heavy rains that left the percussionists (and the roadies) completely drenched!  The Raider Band placed 3rd at this contest that included many strong bands.  Great job Raider Band!

UIL Region Marching Contest - The Raider Band received unanimous Division 1 ratings from all judges at the Region XI contest at Gus Stadium on October 15th before playing at Taft vs Brandeis football game, also at Gus, that evening to wrap up the 2011 marching season.
