CAPITAL CITY MARCHING FESTIVAL - The Taft Raider Band is performing a very difficult show this season, but the band's performance at their first contest showed they were definitely up to the challenge!  Here are the results from the 2004 Capital City Marching Festival, Class AAA,  in Austin, TX on October 2, 2004:

LA JOYA BOA - The Raider Band's success continued on Oct 9th as they traveled to La Joya, TX for a Bands of America Regional Competition.  The Raider Band made it into the finals round along with 11 other bands from the group of 33 participants.  William Howard Taft HS received 7th place overall.  Below are the results for Final Performances:

Raider Band Earns Spot in Finals Round at UIL Area!

UIL AREA E - Raider Band completed their competition marching season by advancing to the Finals Round of the UIL Area E Competition on Oct 25th.  The Raider Band marched their way into the top 10 out of 30 strong, competitive bands from South Texas.  This accomplishment is the closest the Raider Band has ever come in the history of Taft H.S. to competing at the State level.  Below are the results from the Preliminary and Final round for UIL AREA E competition:
